Biography
Born in the rural town of Dallas GA, Joey takes great honor in his Christian faith and his
Native American Ancestry. He knew from an early age that he loved to entertain. Watching what
the joy of being truly entertained can bring someone is one of his true loves. He began his
professional entertainment career as a professional wrestler for the world-renowned WCW.
After a career ending injury forced him into retirement from wrestling, he embarked on a
multi-decorated career in law enforcement receiving medals for Bravery, Life-Saving, and
Meritorious Service. While still on the police force, he began his career in acting. His first
movie appearance was in the award-winning classic Remember the Titans. Since then, Joey
has had over 60 roles in television shows and feature films, ranging from cameo appearances to leading man. In 2021, along with his fellow castmates, he received the awards of “Best
Cast Ensemble” and “Film of the Year” for his part in the Spike Lee produced movie Son of the
South.
After being cast in the award-winning television show, The Redback Revival Gospel Music
Show, and at the encouragement of his fellow cast-members and his wife Meghan, Joey
began to record music. His first single “Please Come Home for Christmas” reached #4 in the
United Kingdom. His first album “Stealing the Covers” has gained the attention of several national network television shows and has rave reviews.
An accomplished entertainer from acting, comedy, variety arts, and music, Joey is known and
loved for his ability to make audience members feel special and appreciated while giving
them more than they bargained for.
He also does a lot for his community from founding of the Warmth for Winter Project, to
assistance with the Honor Flight Program, Food Pantries, Youth Sports, benefit performances,
and more. He loves his community and enjoys giving back.
